Emma 5th pro woman at Xterra, France
July 15th 2010Emma came 5th pro woman at Xterra France on Sunday… despite having food poisoning! This is considered the hardest Xterra and is much longer than any others. More information on Xterra France
Here is Emma’s summary of the race.
I had a stormer of a swim and came out alongside Renata Bucher (who came 2nd). A great result seeing as I was +3mins down on her just on the swim at the beginning of the season. Both the bike and run comprised steep technical ascents and descents. This was a bit more tricky with dysfunctional stomach muscles but I pushed through the pain nevertheless and relied on my summer’s strength & altitude training here in the Swiss Alpes.
